Nick was born and raised in Houston. He graduated with a bachelor of science in management from Southwest Texas State University before the school changed its name to Texas State. Nick spent most of his childhood and early adult life racing motorcycles and working in a motorcycle dealership. He was general manager of one of the largest single-line Honda dealerships in the United States. Nick is also a licensed insurance agent and ran his agency out of the dealership. After 14 years with Honda, he made a life change and moved to Hill Country to help develop and grow the family business, TLC Home Inspections.
Nick is married to Laina, and they have three daughters who keep them running. Nick enjoys time with his family, working on their property, mountain biking, riding motorcycles, and just about anything involving a motor and wheels.
His memberships include InterNACHI, ABoR, HLAoR, WCR, and NRA
Founded in 2007, TLC Home Inspections, PLLC is a family-owned firm committed to serving Texas Hill Country, including Austin, Marble Falls, Georgetown, and Round Rock with professional home inspection services.
Owners Nick and Laina Moomaw, and the entire team at TLC, enjoy giving back to their community. Every October, the inspectors wear pink and the company donates a portion of its proceeds to a breast cancer charity. They participate in other charitable activities throughout the year.
TLC also is part of My Inspector Donates, an initiative involving a group of inspectors joining forces to collectively donate $1 million to nonprofits.
